How to Prompt
Learn how to craft effective prompts for better poems
Prompting Tips
Be Specific
The more specific you are, the better the poem will be. Instead of 'write a poem about love', try 'write a romantic poem about watching sunrise with someone special'.
Set the Mood
Describe the emotion or atmosphere you want: melancholic, joyful, mysterious, peaceful, or energetic.
Choose a Style
Specify if you want a haiku, sonnet, free verse, or a particular style like Shakespearean or modern poetry.
Add Context
Include details about setting, characters, or personal experiences to make the poem more meaningful.
Example Prompts
"Write a peaceful haiku about morning coffee"
Simple, specific, and includes style preference
"Create a melancholic free verse poem about autumn leaves falling in an empty park"
Includes mood, style, imagery, and setting
"Write a joyful sonnet celebrating friendship and shared memories"
Specifies emotion, form, and theme
"Compose a mysterious poem about a lighthouse keeper's secrets"
Sets atmosphere and provides narrative context
